The Enabling contract was carried out, taking the property back to shell and core, in advance of the Clients entire store fit out scheme. Apertures were formed within the existing concrete floor and new staircases installed. The front fagade was altered to suit the new proposed shop fit out and remedial works were carried out based on the Fabric condition survey commissioned by the client. Subterranean Damp proofing works were completed in the basement area and numerous walls and partitions demolished and cleared from site. The proximity of the store on the very busy pedestrianised high street required careful traffic management, coordination and acute awareness and respect for the safety of the Public.

Summary of works:

  • Works to modify the existing building facade to suit the proposed new internal layout

  • Replacement of windows

  • Decoration of Exterior and Interior features

  • Installation of new bespoke customer steel staircases

  • Enabling works for new clients platform lift

  • Stripped existing 1500m2 roof area, applied new insulation and new Bauder 10 year insurance backed guaranteed roof finishes
